Billy Clapper A former college player at Youngstown State University who has been devoted to sharing his message of hard work and determination. Those two traits were the building blocks that took him from being a high school role player to a Division I walk-on. He is entering his 10th year speaking at, working, and directing basketball camps in the Eastern United States. He entered the college coaching ranks after completing his playing career at YSU and the 2009-2010 season will mark his first season as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Penn State Altoona. The past two seasons he was the Assistant Men's Basketball  Coach at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and worked under Coach Bob Rukavina. The Mountain Cats had a combined record of 47-16 during his two seasons with the program. During that time they won the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship (2007-2008) and the conference tournament championship (2008-2009). They advanced in back to back seasons to the NCAA Division II tournament and two of his student athletes were All-American selections.  In 2005-2006, he began his career on the bench as the Assistant Coach at Penn State Altoona for Alan Seretti. He then moved on to Indiana State University where he was a member of Coach Royce Waltman's coaching staff during the 2006-2007 season. The Sycamores went on to defeat three teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament: Butler, Creighton, and Purdue.  He has earned a reputation of being known for being an excellent instructor of perimeter skills and guard play in addition to his emphasis on player development.
